Spines are brown with gold print on brown banners. Boards in brown leather; wear to spine caps and corners, toning to spine, peripheral toning, torn hinges (front panel of second volume almost detached), light rubbing. Text blocks have penciled name on front endpapers, name in ink on title page, tanning to endpapers edges, cracked hinges, slight occasional foxing (chiefly in third volume), slight amount of penciled underlining and marginal notation in first volume.
