THE BOOK GUYS PUBLIC RADIO SIGNS OFF
THE BOOK GUYS has ceased production. The continued success and growth of the program demanded national underwriting and prospects for that have dried up with the shrinking economy. We regret this decision, because we felt we filled a niche in public radio programming that was not filled by other programs. We also regret leaving the air because we are just one more independently produced program that could not survive the increasing nationalization of radio programming on public radio stations. Individually, Mike and Allan will continue to support reading activities and the world of the book and hope that you will as well. We thank you for listening and participating in THE BOOK GUYS and wish all our listeners and our authors well in the years ahead.
