Edinburgh: T. & A. Constable, 1884. Limited First Edition: #519/750. Quarto, [2], xx, 1-283, [5] pages plus forty-six plates. In Very Good minus condition. Bound in green cloth with black decoration and titling to front board and spine. Spine has wrinkling to head/tail, rubbing wear to extremities, and light scuffing throughout. Boards have bumping to fore corners, rings of tan scuffing about the edges, a few small spots of fraying, and light scuffing throughout. Text block has red ink staining to top edge, deckled fore and bottom edges, light soiling to all edges, scuffing to green endpapers, penciling to recto of limitation page, offsetting to pages opposite plates, light separation to gutters between a few gatherings, and light age-toning and scuffing throughout. Shelved in Room A octavo overflow.
