Wraps age toned to brown along edges and spine. Moderate scuffing and wear to covers, with rubbing along edges and at corners. Scattered stains on back cover. Faint creasing and wrinkling to covers. Tape at head and tail of spine. Text block is moderately worn along edges, with small marginal chips and tears along deckled fore edge. Ex-library, with blind stamp to title page, ink numbering on foreword, bookplate inside front cover, and remnant of plate inside back cover. First gathering (title page through p. 16) is loose and laid in. Chipping and closed tears in the bottom margins of p. 141-160. Housed in a new archival mylar sleeve. Shelved in Room A Octavo Overflow.
