Zimbabwe. This abstract sculpture depicts two stylized human faces joined within a continuous looping form, expressing themes of unity, companionship, and family. Carved in serpentine stone with smooth, flowing contours and simplified facial features, the work reflects the organic forms and direct-carving tradition of the Zimbabwean Shona Sculpture Movement. The sculpture is inscribed "Ronie Uzeya" on the underside. Dimensions approximately 27 x 19 x 10 inches In Very Good condition with surface wear including random scratches and abrasions present throughout the surface, most notably along the base, including an approximately 7-inch-long scratch along the upper edge. Minor chips and natural fissures are visible.
