The figure holds carved implements and is dressed in woven fiber cloth, draped across the body and attached to a gourd and cord elements. The sculpture reflects a narrative or ceremonial figure type, suggesting themes of elderhood, social identity, authority, and ritual or communal presence. Dimensions approximately 13 x 6 x 8 inches In Very Good condition. Light surface wear throughout, including abrasions and scattered scratches, most noticeable on the back of the head. Soil, dust, and accretive residue on the fiber cloth and attached elements. Approximately 1 in. crack to the back of the neck. Slight cracks visible on the left and right thighs.
