Boards in black cloth, gilt design with four debossed decorations on front panel; wear to spine caps and corners, spine tail torn away, torn hinges, shelf wear. Text block has gilt edges; cracked front hinge, penciled name on front endpapers and on illustrated presentation page, foxing to endpapers, mild foxing within especially to plates and adjacent pages.
