Japan: Fukuda Hatsujirō, 1887. A Meiji-era Japanese woodblock print depicts a ceremonial or official procession within a landscaped compound. The artwork is part of the series “Chiyoda Outer Palace” by Yoshu Chikanobu. Published in Meiji 20 (1887) by Fukuda Hatsujirō, a Tokyo-based publisher in Kanda Ward. Signed Yōshū Chikanobu with seal. Image dimensions: approximately 28.5 x 14 in; In Good condition overall. Moderate toning and scattered foxing, particularly in the margins and upper area. The sheets are slightly wavy, and the colors are generally well-preserved. Unframed.
