Jacket is pictorial, with black lettering to overs and spine. Book is in full green cloth binding with navy lettering; text block with dyed top edge. Jacket shows moderate age toning with sunning along spine. Moderate wear along jacket edges, heaviest at head and tail, with rubbing along the joints and scuffing to spine. Price uncut: "$2.75". Jacket is wrapped in a new archival mylar sleeve. Boards show mild shelf wear, with some discoloration along board edges and soiling along joints. Text block shows moderate wear along edges, with foxing to the fore edge, and dust soiling and scattered stains to the top edge. Interior clean. Faint penciling and small ink ownership inscription on front flyleaf: "Silvio Bedini / 1-15-40". Inscribed from Maurine Whipple to Bedini in black ink on title page: "To Silvio Bedini - / All luck in your / illustrating! (And work hard!!) / Maurine Whipple". Shelved in Case 2.
