Boards are creased and faintly stained, with rubbing wear along edges and joints. Scuffing to spine, with chipping at the head and tail. Paper label affixed to top end of spine. Clear tape on both boards at the bottom of the joints. Text block edges are moderately worn and toned. Institutional copy, with stamps and numbering inside front cover and on early pages; patch of wear inside back cover where a label has been cut away. Pen ownership inscription inside front cover; gift inscription on front free endpaper. Front hinge adhesive has separated. Fore corners of early pages are mildly curling. Interior otherwise clean. Shelved in Room F Elephant.
