One partially-printed page in a gold frame measuring 19.5" x 15", dated February 18, 1846, granting land in Dekalb County, Illinois to Araunah Moseley of Monroe County, New York and his heirs. Granted by the office of President James K. Polk, with the secretarial signature of his nephew Joseph Knox Walker. Additionally signed by S. H. Laughlin, Recorder of the General Land Office.
With three vertical folds and one horizontal fold. Light age toning and wear. A few small holes. With a blind embossed paper seal in the lower left corner. Handwriting faded, but still mostly legible.
