In full red cloth binding, heavily sunned to tan along edges and spine, with paper label on spine. Soiling and wear to boards, with rubbing along edges and exposed board at fore corners. Top fore corners bumped. Chipping/fraying at head/tail of spine, lacking end bands. Spine is cracked. Text block edges are toned and soiled; fore and bottom edges are deckled, with marginal chips and tears throughout. Age toned and foxed throughout, with heavier foxing on endpapers. Pencil ownership inscriptions on front endpaper: "E. W. Mayo". Bottom corners of pages 309-312 are torn away; text not affected. Shelved in Room A.
