NOTES
This book, published in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Internat des Hôpitaux de Paris (the Paris Hospital Internship Program), chronicles the program's history, recruitment process, function, and impact since its founding in 1802. At the time of publication, the program was considered one of the premier institutions for medical training in the world. This book was presented as a gift to a graduate of this program, and contains a presentation leaf before the half-title page that reads: "Exemplaire de Souscripteur / M. le Docteur Savreux-Lachapelle / Ancien Interne des Hôpitaux de Paris / Promotion 1863".
