General rubbing and wear. Fraying at heads and tails of spines and at corners of boards. Light scuffing and soiling to boards. Top edges of textblocks gilt.
Volume I: Tearing to cloth at front hinge. Frontispiece and title page loose but present. Front board beginning to detach with gutter visible at dedication page.
Volume II: Tearing to front gutter.
