NOTES

Roberto Cidade (1939–2011) is known for his bronze figures rooted in the cultural traditions of Rio Grande do Sul. His gauderio and gaucho subjects are widely collected in Brazil, and his minimalist handling of form aligns with broader mid-20th-century Latin American modernism.
