Boards half bound with brown leather to spine and corners and marbled paper to boards; boards for vol.1 have torn hinges, vol. 2 boards are detached from text block, spine toned black, peripheral toning, surface tears to leather, rubbing to paper. Text blocks have has gilt top edge; name in pencil on front pastedown of first volume, bookplate on front flyleaf of both volumes, cracked hinges, spotting to endpapers, slight occasional foxing within.
