Philadelphia: W. Brotherhead, 1861. Sixth Edition. Folio, irregular pagination [69 plates]. In Good condition. Bound in full brown buckram cloth, with blind-stamped ornamentation to both boards and gilt ornamentation to the front board. Cloth along the tail end of spine is partially detached. Boards have fraying to the spine ends and fore corners, tears to joints, bumping to edges, and stains to surfaces. Textblock has pencil marks to the front end papers, a previous owner's pencil signature to the title page, foxing to the end papers and title page, light stains along the top edges of some pages throughout, and mild wear to edges. Contains a presentation letter to Frank M. Etting and is signed by John Jay Smith tipped in between the front free end pages. Shelved in Room F Elephant.
