The first on the letterhead of Office of Evarts, Southmayd & Choate, 52 Wall Street, New York; the second on his personal letterhead from 8 East Sixty-Third Street. Both letters are in Very Good condition, exhibiting light age-toning with minor wear along edges and corners. Gentle crease folds from original handling, along with a few scattered pencil notations.
