Dust jacket is sleeved in a protective mylar cover, and shows mild shelf wear on covers. Single small, closed tears in top and bottom edges of jacket front. Very small area of chipping in top corner of jacket front near spine. Boards show mild rubbing wear and light sunning along bottom edges. Text block shows negligible shelf wear. Inscribed in black ink by Joseph Brodsky to Myra Sklarew on title page: "Joseph Brodsky / For Myra Sklarew from guess who", followed by a small drawing of a heart. Shelved in Room A.

Joseph Brodsky was a Nobel-prize winning Jewish, Russian-American poet who served as Poet Laureate of the United States from 1991-1992. This book is inscribed to Myra Sklarew, another Jewish poet and professor who was a prominent figure within the Washington, D.C. literary scene alongside Brodsky.
