Spine in dark leather quarter binding and gilt lettering, with cracking and rubbing wear. Boards are paper, and show mild shelf wear to covers. Significant rubbing wear to top and bottom board edges and fore corners - lighter on the rear board than on the front board - that has resulted in exposed boards. Significant chipping and fraying to head of spine. Book has been rebound, with new endpapers and original text block preserved. Text block shows expected age toning, with foxing visible on all edges. Splitting to hinges, which is heavier at front hinge. Some pages show mild wrinkling, particularly around the fold-out genealogy chart included after the title page. Light foxing present throughout.
