Dust jacket is wrapped in a mylar covering, price is uncut "$2.75", has mild shelving wear, light chipping along the extremities, open tears along the fore corners and rear joint, a small closed tear along the rear head edge, stains on the rear cover, and mild age-toning throughout. Boards have mild wear along the head and tail edges, light bumping along the fore corners, and mild discoloration along the spine and hinges. Textblock has stains on the tail corner of page 119, light soling on few pages, mild discoloration along the hinges, pencil marks on the rear pastedown, and mild age-toning along the edges. "Gentleman's Agreement" was first serialized in 1946 in the "Cosmopolitan" magazine before being published in full in 1947 by Simon and Schuster. The novel would become a "New York Times" No.1 bestseller in 1947, and that same year saw a film adaptation starring Gregory Peck.
