London: J. N. Boydell; G. and W. Nichol, 1806. Third Edition, Corrected. Octavos, three volumes. In Good minus condition. Brown cloth spines with handwritten ink numbering. Originally bound in half brown leather; the leather of the spines has since been covered in brown cloth. Leather at corners of boards significantly worn. Marbled paper boards and matching marbled text block edges and marbled endpapers. Heads and tails of spines with moderate fraying and bumping; joints somewhat worn and fragile. Edges and corners of boards with moderate plus rubbing and wear; surfaces of boards with light plus rubbing. Paper of rear board of Vol. 2 partially absent and partially separating from board. Top edge of text blocks somewhat darkened with age; lower edges of text blocks with light plus rubbing. Front hinge of Vol. 2 completely split; front free endpaper loose but present. All three volumes with the bookplate of David Anderson to front pastedown. Text blocks mostly lightly age toned with scattered light plus foxing; a few pages significantly age toned with significant foxing (likely due to different paper stock). Numerous black and white plates.
