Loss of leather to labels on Vol. I. Light plus rubbing and shelf wear to edges and corners of boards, heads and tails of spines; loss of leather to head of spine on Vol. II. Light plus wear to joints on both volumes; several areas of abrasion and peeling of leather to surfaces of boards. Text blocks very lightly age toned. Minor fore edge damage to front free endpaper of Vol. 1; minor staining to upper fore edge corner through p. 5 of Vol. 1. Marbled endpapers; text block edges stained red. Complete with 12 plates, six in each volume.
