Volume 1 contains frontispiece of child holding up a candle to a portrait of an old man. Volume 2 contains contains frontispiece of a boy and a girl surrounded by green monsters. Volume 3 contains frontispiece of child kneeling before a unicorn in a forest captioned "Her whole body began to tremble". Volume 4 contains frontispiece depicting small gnome in front of a large tree captioned "Behold mortals, a beauty that will never fade".
