Corners and edges of wraps significantly chipped and worn, with moderate discoloration, particularly at edges. Pencil annotations to front wrap. Text block moderately worn at edges and corners, with light plus age toning and scattered foxing. Text in French. Inscribed by the author in French on first page, with a handwritten and signed letter (dated 1866) in French from the author to a duke inserted before first page. SH Consignment. Shelved in Room A.
