NOTES
Lély was a French poet who believed he had an almost mystical connection with the Marquis de Sade after seeing a vision of him while visiting the ruins of the castle featured on the front cover. Because of his devotion, he was granted full access to Sade's archives by his descendants for this book. This book also includes an original poem by Lély.
