The Second Hexade, Volume III, 1806 contains one of the earliest printed accounts of the Lewis and Clark expeditions, in particular making reference to a manuscript copy of "A Map of those parts of North-America situated between the 35th and 51st degrees of latitude, and the 89th and 124th degrees of longitude" that was been sent to the Secretary at War, with other copies made under the direction of Gen. Dearborn, for the inspection of Congress.
