Boards show moderate scuffing, with rubbing along edges and cracking along joints. Small areas of exposed board at fore corners. Chipping to head and tail of spine. Cracking to leather of clasps. Text block is darkly age toned and moderately worn and soiled along edges. Age toning and foxing throughout, with scattered stains. Contemporary ink doodles on front and rear endpapers; small areas of chipping along fore edge of front flyleaf. Splitting to hinges. Some sparse, small dog-ear creases present in top corners.
