In Very Good minus condition. Half-bound in brown leather with marbled paper boards. Spine has maroon labels with gilt titling and ornamentation. Boards have chipping to extremities, bumping to corners, and moderate rubbing wear to surfaces. Textblock has cracking to the hinges, a clipped bibliographical entry adhered to the front pastedown, age toning and light scattered stains throughout, minor tears and chipping to some page edges (not impacting text), and red ink to edges. Top edges have been trimmed (impacting pagination to the first book). The bottom corner of the first title page has been torn away, impacting text. Light pencil marks to the second title page.
