Vol. I shows moderate shelf wear, with rubbing on all board edges, splitting along the front joint and hinge and chipping to the head of the spine. Vol. II-VIII show mild wear, with faint scuffs and smudges to cloth and light sunning to spines. Several thin scratches on the rear board of Vol. III. All volumes show light bumping to the fore corners and heads/tails of spines. Text blocks are age toned, darkest in Vol. I. Light foxing on text block top and fore edges, and on endpapers of Vol. I. Bottom edges show light shelf wear/scuffing. Name of former owner written in ink in the top corner of the front flyleaf in all volumes.
