c.1890. Beautiful 19th century silk tapestry measures ~55" x 45" and features a phoenix circling above what I believe is a Kirin (most likely Japanese from the Meiji period). Wear throughout tapestry with some loss of fabric; stitching along the seams (all sides) has frayed/broken in some places; fitted with brass rings along top (there are currently 8 rings with the upper left ring missing); two small parallel partial tears in lower left corner (~2" and 1", see last photograph). A collection of nine Debbie Reynolds’ Broadway items includes three signed booklets with bold signatures in black marker. The collection consists of two “Play Bill” magazines (both signed), one “Irene” souvenir album (signed), and five musical show programs, “Coco”, “Latin Quarter”, “Show Boat” and two “Guys and Dolls”. Overall all items are in very good condition with some age toning and slight wear to corners and spines.
1984. Untorn ticket to the Jacksons Victory Tour at the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, dated July 7, 1984. The ticket is printed on a lightweight glossy paper with color background. Very good. Ticket stub is still attached with cellophane tape added on perforated line on the reverse for reinforcement.
A “Buddy and Bob” business card for Buddy Holly and Bob Montgomery, which was Holly’s first act as a professional musician. Listed at the top of the business card are the names Buddy Holly, Bob Montomery and Larry Welborn, who briefly played bass for the duo. Also listed at the bottom left corner is their business manager Hi Pockets Duncan. Matted and framed.
