Spines of dust jackets are a light brown from soiling, with black and red text. Dust jackets show chipping at corners and at head and tail of spine. Small closed tears in jacket edges. Faint smudges and stains on jacket covers, with some faint ghosting on jacket front faint. Light sunning to jackets near edges. Boards are bound in blue cloth, and show mild shelf wear and scuffing. Light rubbing to bottom edges and corners of boards. Text block shows expected age toning with light scuffing to edges. Name of former owner written in blue pen along top edge of front flyleaf in both volumes. CONTENTS: Volume One "1694-1797" (ix, 305 pages) -- Volume Two "1797-1914" (vii, 460 pages).
