1875. One piece of paper, measuring approximately 3" x 5". The front is a United States Postal Card, with a stamp marking it as being sent from Massachusetts. The rear contains a handwritten note with a signature at the bottom. Susan Dimock was appointed resident physician of the New England Hospital for Women and Children in 1872, and was the first woman member of the North Carolina Medical Society.
