Latrobe was a British architect who emigrated to the United States after the Revolutionary War and designed many iconic buildings of the post-revolution era, including the United States Capitol. He also served as the Architect of the Capitol from 1803-1811 and 1815-1817. The title of Volume 3 is "The Journals of Benjamin Henry Latrobe, 1799-1820", ISBN 0300023839
