Spine light paneled leather, with red leather labels with gilt lettering, and gilt design. Marked shelf wear and mild soiling. Corners of all vols. markedly bumped, with boards exposed. vol. 1 front board literally hanging by a thread. Some wear to crown and tail of vol. 1 spine. Vol. 1 back joint starting. Vol. 2 with board exposed at top of joints; small chip in leather at back board with interior of board exposed. Vol. 3 joints starting, with large chips missing at tops of joints. All vols. edges dyed red. All vols. with previous owners' bookplates at front pastedown, vol. 3 with previous owner's bookplate at front free endpaper. Vol. 1 with previous bookseller's description pasted at back pastedown, previous bookseller's description loose within, and previous bookseller's description pasted at second back free endpaper. All poem text in English and French facing text, with introductions and notes in French. 14 engraved black and white plates by Hogarth, including 3 fold-outs. Pages clean. Shelved Room G.
