Bound in contemporary leather with raised bands and gilt ornamentation to spine. Bands worn, with moderate chipping to head and tail of spine and significant cracking to joints. Boards with general craqueleur and rubbing to edges and corners. Text block edges stained red. Text block age toned and slightly foxed with more significant discoloration to end papers and minor waving to fore edge. An ex-library copy with usual markings, including a bookplate to front pastedown, institutional stamps to several pages and call number written in pencil. MF Consignment. Shelved in Upstairs Hall.
