THE COTTON CLUB 1937 JAZZ PROGRAM AND 1939 MENU

Description: Two extremely rare documents from the historic Cotton Club in Harlem. This lot includes a 1937 program featuring Bill Robinson and Cab Calloway, and a 1939 menu plus program featuring the same. The 1937 program is in very good condition. New York, 1937. There is some light soiling to the front and back covers, a ½-inch closed tear at the top edge of the back cover, and a faint crease at the top right corner of the front cover. The textblock shows mild age-toning throughout.

The 1939 menu and program celebrates the “World’s Fair Edition” of the Cotton Club Parade. New York, 1939. Large slim quarto (10” x 13”), four pages. Saddle-stitched. In good+ condition. Both covers show creasing from a vertical fold, with moderate wear to edge, and three ½-inch or smaller closed tears along the right edge of the front cover.
