Age toning throughout, minor soiling to margins, and a crease at the bottom right corner. Verso has stamp from Wide World Photo, pasted caption, a use-date stamp of 1937 (when Bow was contemplating a return to pictures after a 3-year retirement), and an “Editorial Cut Order”. Photograph #4: A type 1 silver gelatin photo taken in 1931. It shows Bow posing at the wheel of her luxury automobile. Measures 6.5” x 5.5” and is in very good condition. Minor soiling to margins. Verso has pasted caption (which mentions her recent “nervous breakdown”), a file stamp of June 3, 1931, and the stamp for International Newsreel. Photograph #5: A type 1 silver gelatin photo of Bow posing with her father in June, 1931. Taken right before moving to Nevada to the ranch of Rex Bell, her soon-to-be husband. In very good condition, minor age-toning to right and top margin. Verso has blue stamp of International Newsreel, and a pasted caption that reads: “It was a new Clara or / perhaps the old Clara of seven years ago, that / started away from her Beverly Hills home for a / 350,000 acre ranch in Nevada. Clad in a tan polo / shirt, riding breeches and boots, her hair is / unusualy [sic] blonde, with scarcely a trace of its / natural, dark red. Clara is shown here bidding / har [sic] father good-bye. 6/14/31”. A type 1 studio headshot taken during the production of Bow’s last film, Hoopla, in 1933. In good+ condition. Age-toning throughout, faint pin holes in each corner, slight warping at bottom edge, minor wear to edges, and a crease in the top left corner (largely confined to margins). Verso has numerous stamps, pencil notations, and pasted captions.
