Two Volumes; Small quartos; Light brown spines with gilt lettering; CONTENTS: Volume One: F+/ hardcover; Boards show some edgewear, especially to the head and tail of the spine, but are otherwise clean; binding is slightly cocked, and has separated from the bottom-third of the spine, but is otherwise intact; Textblock shows standard age-toning and foxing on the five pages opening and closing the book; there are also occasional pencil marks from a previous owner, and four sheets have come loose (titlepage - ii, and p. 282 - closing free-end paper); pp 282. Volume Two: G+ / hardcover; Boards show minor edgewear, especially at the head and tail of the spine, but otherwise strong and clean; Binding is strong and intact; Textblock shows some age-toning, a small amount of foxing in the closing five pages, and two or three pages have small pencil marks - otherwise clean; pp 237 plus index.
