Spines tanned; minor shelf wear to board edges and scratching to boards. Title pages in red and black. Leaf (b)4 in Vol. 1 is blank; final leaf in Vol. 2 blank. Frontispiece of Vol. 1 is the armorial achievement of Charles II following the restoration of the monarchy. Frontispiece of Vol. 2 is titled "My House shall be called the House of Prayer." Bookplate of the Episcopal Theological School included with both volumes but no longer affixed. Both volumes ex-library copies, with usual markings, including stamps on title pages and call numbers on title page versos. Archival repairs to first three leaves of Vol. 1 and first leaf of vol. 2. Text blocks age-toned and slightly foxed with a few scattered small stains. Open tear to margin of p. 11 in Vol. 1 (text not impacted). Small closed tear to lower margin of p. 49 in Vol. 2 stabilized with clear tape.
