c1942. Political cartoon by Burris Jenkins discussing the hiring of Mel Ott as Manager of the New York Giants. Cartoon is undated but believed to be from early-to-mid 1940's when Ott functioned as a player-manager for the Giants (Bill Terry stepped down as manager in 1941 and the job was given to Ott). Silver metal frame measures 23 1/4" x 19 1/4" and is in good condition (fitted with wire on verso for wall mount).
