Some age toning, minor chips and closed tears to margins (as well as slightly longer tears at the edge of the central crease), and minor water damage to margins. Dimensions w 26.5 in x h 22.25 in.
Lugduni Batavorum [Leiden]: Apud Elzevirios, 1641. 16mo; 352, 70 pp., two folded illustrations. Contemporary vellum. Very good; vellum soiled and age-discolored; front hinge and front endpaper starting; title page loose; penciled notes on front pastedown. This work is considered the first comprehensive modern geography. Text in Latin. Shelved in Case #3.
