Bob Timberlake has had a long, successful career as a popular painter and furniture designer. Born in Lexington, North Carolina, he began his painting career in 1970. He was mentored by Andrew Wyeth. His painting has been put to many popular uses, including fundraising campaigns and postage stamps. This copy was formerly in the collection of the Library of Congress. Condition: Good. There is some fraying at the corners of the cover as well as scratches and dents on cover both front and back. Some stamps and pencil marks, including a Library of Congress stamp, appear on the first pages. There is water staining to the bottom left corner of a number of the first pages, though this does not impact any plates or text. Dimensions 18.5 x 14 x 1.625 inches.

An inscription on the front fly gives the name of another previous owner. Condition: Good to Very Good. Binding somewhat cockled, with minor shelf wear and bumping. Some foxing and age-toning , with stains to final pages. Dimensions 5.625 x 8 x 0.75 inches.

Print by Boris W. Vallejo, signed and dated (7/27/79) in pen in the lower right corner. This print is of the cover art created by fantasy artist Boris W. Vallejo for the novel Tarnsman of Gor by John Norman. Vallejo, born in Peru in 1941, attended Peru’s National School of Fine Arts, and later immigrated to the United States. He has worked with numerous publishers in the fantasy genre, and has also created artwork for movie posters and more. Condition: Good. Somewhat faded. Some rippling from the way the print has been matted. Some damage to the backing, but this does not impact the print. Dimensions 23.5 x 25.375 inches.
